In-Practice Teaching

During a GPT1 term, Registrars receive 3 hours of teaching per week (1.5 hours for part time Registrars). This time is set-aside, timetabled, and structured with some planning of content and form, to ensure it relates to the Registrar's learning plans and the Supervisor's teaching plans.

This is in addition to informal and corridor consultations, although if a significant teaching activity arises out of one of these it can be counted as part of the set-aside teaching time (e.g. if a corridor consultation leads to a half hour tutorial or a significant joint consultation).

During a GPT2 term, Registrars receive 1.5 hours of teaching per week (0.75 hours for part time registrars).

During a GPT3 term, no formal teaching is required by the Supervisor, but is encouraged.
